As Director of Business Development at Moss Acres, Nancy combines her passion for moss with her professional marketing and business development skills to promote the benefits and uses of moss to gardeners, landscape architects and professionals, retail garden center and gift shop owners, the media, and green roof specialists. Nancy researches, collects and publishes information and photos about moss via a bi-monthly Moss Musings newsletter, and on a Facebook group called Moss Mavens and Mavericks.

After earning her BBA in Finance from University of Kentucky and her MBA from University of Louisville, Nancy honed her marketing, management, writing and consulting skills in Finance and Marketing in the consulting and corporate insurance industry for over 20 years. While not an official bryologist, Nancy believes that because moss possesses so many adaptive characteristics, it will someday save the world. In the meantime, she is pursuing her Green Roof Professional accreditation.
