Moss makes front page news in NYC…

Back in 2002 a landscape architect who was designing the atrium garden for the new building for the New York Times contacted Moss Acres for additional information regarding the various mosses offered by the company.

Time passed, but in the spring of 2007 the landscaping contract was awarded to Kelco Construction, and Moss Acres received a large order for several thousand square feet of Haircap and Fern moss. The moss was shipped and installed during the fall of 2007.

The New York Times Center in Manhattan was one of the largest projects to date for Moss Acres. The building is located on 41st street between 7th & 8th Avenues. This project is surrounded by glass and open to the sky. A Fern moss and Haircap moss “lawn” complement specimen paperwhite birch trees, producing a serene, yet bold look.

If you find yourself in this part of Manhattan, stop by for a visit…
